DeskIA Business Process Assurance

Assess whether the process
achieved its outcome.

BPA is DeskIA’s integrated capability designed to assess business outcomes using evidence from your systems. Define what must happen, which sources demonstrate it and when it must be checked.

Three verification levels.

Technical recovery

Does the component respond again?

Functional recovery

Does the task the person needs work again?

Business outcome

Did the process achieve its intended outcome?

Business Outcome Assurance is BPA’s core mechanism: comparing the expected outcome with authorized evidence and agreed criteria. A resolved ticket does not, by itself, establish the process outcome.

Each conclusion has a basis.

VERIFIED

Evidence satisfies the agreed criterion.

NOT VERIFIED

Evidence shows that the criterion is not met.

INSUFFICIENT EVIDENCE

There is not enough evidence to conclude. Success is not assumed.

An example from store operations.

StageQuestionEvidence to agree
Night preparationDid the required synchronization complete?Batch and synchronization events correlated to store and business date.
OpeningCan the functions needed to sell be performed?Authorized functional checks and dependency state.
TradingWas the defined operational outcome achieved?Sales, payment or invoicing events, depending on agreed criteria and coverage.
Closing and reconciliationIs the close complete and reconciled?Authoritative close and reconciliation evidence from the responsible systems.

Illustrative example. A test sale does not, by itself, prove that an entire day operated successfully or was reconciled. Each outcome requires its own coverage and criteria.

What is agreed before verification.

  • Protected outcome, unit of analysis and verification window.
  • Sources, owners, shared identifiers and event freshness.
  • Permissions, assessment rules and handling of conflicting or missing evidence.
  • Next action for unmet criteria or insufficient evidence; further observation where the profile requires it.

Integrated with support and observability.

ToolIts role
ITSMCases, assignment, approvals and history. DeskIA integrates with the system of record.
Observability / APMApplication, infrastructure and process signals, depending on the platform and configuration.
DeskIA Front EndUser interaction, guidance, authorized actions and escalation with context.
DeskIA BPAAssessment of the agreed outcome, evidence sources and exception follow-up.

Integration is validated for each environment. DeskIA preserves the role of the ITSM and observability platform; BPA assessment depends on the available data and permissions.
